SABS CONGREGATION

The Congregation of the Sisters of the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (SABS) was founded officially on 8th December 1908, when the first members received the religious veil at St.George’s Church Edathua. It had its origin in the personal experience of the Eucharistic love and presence of the Venerable Mar Thomas Kurialacherry (1873-1925) the first bishop of Changanacherry and Rev. Mother Francisca de Chantal (1880 – 1972), the first member of the congregation.

Perpetual Adoration Centers

"Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his holy mountain, for the LORD our God is holy." ( Ps : 99/9)

Eucharistic adoration is our main apostolate and the reason for which our congregation was started. We foster the spirit of Eucharistic devotion in others through the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.At present we have 115 perpetual adoration centers across the globe.
Our Founder exhorted us that each day every SABS should have an hour before the Blessed Sacrament praying for the salvation of all and paying reparation for the sins of the whole world. Therefore the whole congregation as single unit offers Eucharistic adoration day and night, throughout the year. In the communities, sisters take turns for continuous adoration every day.
